Ukrainian Village Architecture

I don't mean the neighborhood in Chicago. This was an outdoor museum spread over 150 acres of woods giving one the feeling of village life in 18th and 19th century Ukraine. The structures have been lovingly restored and are arranged by region. We were there on an off day so could not go inside. Many of the buildings have been given over to demonstrations of such things as carving, textiles, and candle making. All are wood and most have thatched roofs.

This large structure can be rented for weddings.
